Playdoh and White Paste- breakfast of kindergartners!

Playdoh

Does anyone else love Playdoh like I do? I loved letting the kids play with it when I did home daycare. It’s not only great for the kids but it smells sooo good!

We had Little Man and “R” (Forgot the Internet I gave him :-) over today so the boys could look for work.

The kids started fighting, so I saved the day by having them help me make Playdoh. They’ve been playing for about 1/2 hour…………

Let’s see how long THAT lasts……

Here’s the recipe:

Non-cook Playdoh

1 cup flour

1 cup boiling water

2 tbsp. cream of tartar

1/2 cup salt

1 tbsp. oil

Mix and knead together.

Doesn’t small as good as the original Playdoh, but it’s still fun!

P.S. I also love the smell of that white school paste…

Oh! To be in Kindergarten again!

We’re off to camp

It’s back to camp as soon as the Princess gets home….can’t wait. It’s like you don’t have a care in the world there!

Tomorrow is a Chili and Chicken Wing contest. I used to make a mean chicken wing sauce, but it’s been awhile. Guess I’ll just eat!

Virtual Girls Night Out- Saturday night!

Photobucket

And don’t forget tomorrow night is Virtual Girls Night Out. Ann is hosting a Heart Shaped Rock project. She had a heart shaped rock and decided to send it around the country- well really the world.

Brenda, the Chacogirl from Paraguay had it last, and sent it on to me. She also sent me a postcard and a keychain:

Here’s the pics we took- not very impressive, but what the grand kids thought we should do. So, live from Central New York:

The heart shaped rock (or stone…)

See you all when I get home Sunday! Have a great weekend!

Hi Carolee, I’m glad the rock made it safely to you. Hope you like the keychain. The wood its made of is called Palosanto (spanish for holy post or trunk). It’s beautiful wood known for its rich smell and green color. Furniture made from it is very sturdy but beautiful. That’s my nature lesson for today:) Hope you have a great VGNO and weekend! Hugs, from Paraguay, Brenda
